There are a few things to know before you start managing reservations:
  • The reservation number follows this pattern:
property-code/creation-year/folio-number/reservation-numberFor example: “304/25/000973/1”
  • A reservation always sits inside a folio (booking file).
  • A folio is a group of reservations. Those reservations can come from the same sales channel or from different channels.
  • Every reservation — whether a single one or a multi-room booking under the same guest — belongs to a folio.
  • A reservation can’t last more than 30 days. If it goes beyond, Roomdoo splits it into two reservations in separate folios.
  • Within a single folio, there can’t be more than 30 days between the earliest check-in and the latest check-out.
