Why adding a service is handled by support

The additional services your property offers (half board, cot, complimentary stays, café, late check-out, parking, etc.) live in a property-level catalogue. Each service has its price, its fiscal behaviour (VAT, exemptions), its application policy (per night, per stay, per person) and, in some cases, mapping with OTAs and Wubook. That’s why creating a new service isn’t done from the Roomdoo app — it needs careful setup so it doesn’t affect existing reservations or break invoicing.

What to send us

When you request a new service, include:
  • Service name (how you want it to appear on invoices and in the system)
  • Price (fixed or variable, per night or per stay)
  • VAT that applies
  • How it’s charged (per person, per room, per stay)
  • Whether it’s part of a board plan (half board includes breakfast + dinner, for example)
  • Whether it should appear on a specific sales channel (Booking, Expedia, etc.)
  • If there’s a similar existing service to use as a reference
The more specific the detail, the faster we configure it. If you need it live for a specific date (campaign, event, season), let us know in advance.

Common cases

Half board is a board plan — usually breakfast + dinner. It’s configured as a composite service. Let us know:
  • Whether dinner has a fixed serving time (e.g. 20:00-22:00)
  • Whether there’s a single menu or options
  • Service price and whether breakfast is charged separately or included
Simple service: price per night or per stay, usually marked as “children” and VAT-free in some regions. Let us know if you want to offer it free or with a charge.
Special service that applies a 100% discount on the room rate. Useful for press visits, invited guests, FAM trips. Let us know which reservations can use complimentary (everyone, only specific agencies, only with authorisation).
Food & beverage services usually need separate accounting. Let us know:
  • Whether you want to track consumption by room (folio charges)
  • Whether you have a separate F&B POS
  • What VAT applies (10% F&B in Spain general)

When to contact support

Always. Any service catalogue addition or change is handled by our team.
Don’t try to “duplicate” an existing service as a shortcut by changing its name. The service’s internal setup (VAT, Wubook mapping, application policy) can be different, and applying it to a new service without review can create fiscal errors or OTA sync issues.
