How to change a reservation’s dates

Before modifying a reservation in Roomdoo, check that there’s availability for the new dates the guest is asking for. If there is, follow these steps:
  • Open the guest’s reservation.
  • In the reservation details, click “Change dates”.

Picking the new dates

A pop-up opens with two calendars to choose the new check-in (on the left) and check-out (on the right) dates. When you pick the new dates, Roomdoo recalculates the reservation total based on the rates in effect for those dates. It’s up to you whether to keep the original rate or apply the new one.

To keep the original rate, untick the “Set price by assigned rate” option and set the new price so it matches the original.

Save the changes

  • Click “Save” and the reservation is updated.

Reservations locked by an OTA

If the “Modify dates” button has a padlock icon next to it, the reservation came from an external OTA and is locked. You can’t modify it from Roomdoo, because it was booked through a third party. Ask the guest to make the change through the platform where they booked (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.).If the reservation has to be modified urgently, you can always contact Roomdoo support to unlock it and allow the date change.
