Why creating a new rate is handled by support

A rate in Roomdoo isn’t just a price — it’s a set of configurations:
  • Base price and calculation rules (per night, per stay, per person)
  • Board plan included (room only, bed and breakfast, half board, etc.)
  • Cancellation policy (flexible, non-refundable, partial)
  • Wubook mapping so it’s distributed to OTAs correctly
  • Mapping to each OTA individually (Booking, Expedia, Hostelworld…)
Creating a new rate without the right mapping leaves the rate “orphaned” on a channel, or duplicates it where it shouldn’t be. That’s why we handle it from support — to make sure it connects well to every channel your property uses.

What we need

When you request a new rate, include:
  • Rate name (e.g. “B&B Summer 2026”, “Room-only non-refundable”)
  • Board plan included
  • Cancellation policy (flexible 24h before, non-refundable, etc.)
  • Base price or reference to a similar existing rate
  • Channels to distribute it on (all, only Booking, direct website, etc.)
  • Whether you want to open/close this rate independently of the others (typical for “B&B” vs “Room only”)
  • Activation date and, if applicable, end date
The more specific you are, the sooner we get it live. If the new rate is for a campaign with a near-term start date, give us at least 48h notice.

Common cases

Typical case to open/close each one independently and maximise revenue. Steps:
  1. Tell us the breakfast price per person per night
  2. Decide whether B&B maps to the same rooms as Room only or restricts to specific types
  3. Confirm which channels it should be on (Booking is usually where B&B sells most)
A discounted rate with a 100% penalty if cancelled. Steps:
  1. Tell us the price (or the % discount over the flexible)
  2. Confirm the exact cancellation policy (100% always, or from a specific lead time)
  3. State whether it should be on every channel or only some
Rates with start and end dates (for example, “Easter 2026”). Tell us the dates, the discount, and the channels.
See Old rate you want to remove. Rates aren’t deleted (existing reservations would be orphaned); they’re archived.

When to contact support

Always. Creating rates affects the Wubook and OTA connection — it’s critical configuration that needs validation.
Don’t try to create rates by duplicating an existing one through the app. Rates have a unique internal code that maps to Wubook; duplicating can end up with two rates pushing the same thing to Booking, or one of them not mapped at all.
